Ramon was the President & CEO of the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce before coming to the Arizona Transportation Builders Association (ATB) as Executive Director in 2011. Prior to, Ramon was the Executive Director of the Metropolitan Pima Alliance (2008), Chief of Staff to Council Member Kathleen Dunbar in the City of Tucson (2005), and Staff Lobbyist for the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce (2001). With over a decade of association management experience and lobbying for Federal, State and local policies, Ramon continues to build and create new relationships. Ramon has been with ATB for 6+ years and served as Chair of the City’s Transportation Bond Oversight Committee (Proposition 409). He currently is the Treasurer for the Southern Arizona Construction Career Days. He served as a board member for the Healthiest Town in America, Tucson Young Professionals, YMCA of Tucson and the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Ramon immediately moved to the United States. He attended a college prep school at Trinity Pawling School in New York. Ramon came to Tucson and graduated from the University of Arizona in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. In his spare time, he especially enjoys playing hockey and following and attending University of Arizona sports. Ramon has been married for five years to his wife, who works at a local hospital. They are now proud parents to 2-year old little girl.
Yvette previously worked as an office assistant for a local civil engineering company before joining the Arizona Transportation Builders Association as an Executive Assistant. Yvette has been with the Association for 5+ years and is working full-time with us. Yvette is very energetic individual who excels in custom service and administration support, assisting contractor and other members. Yvette primarily focuses her time on the six major events per year with the association. She also serves to the Associates Committee and Safety Committee specifically. Yvette is a Tucson native, graduated from Tucson High Magnet School, and also attended Pima Community College. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has two beautiful children. Yvette is very active in the community. She volunteers at the local Little League and at her children’s elementary school. She also participates on a Committee for an inner city soccer league. Along with the coordination of the coaching staff, she helps organize fundraiser to help less fortunate families in the league with soccer equipment and the committee adopts area families during the holidays to provide Christmas trees, clothes, and toys. In her free time, you will always find a book in her hands.
